According to Homeward Trust's By Names List, 2,612 people were identified as experiencing homelessness in Edmonton in July 2021. Every person deserves a safe, comfortable home. Housing is a human right!

How your donations help?

Find furnishes homes for Housing First participants free of charge with donations from our community. Each donation is inspected for pests (by our staff as well as through our partnership with Orkin where Ken and his trusty dog Dash come by regularly to make sure operations are safe for everyone), professionally cleaned (soft furniture items are steam cleaned), chosen with the participant's needs in mind and delivered to the participant with care. 

With a great amount of community support, Find was able to furnish 1703 homes in 2020 and we are on course for meeting those numbers in 2021, but we need your help! 

To best support individuals and families moving out of homelessness through the Housing First program in Edmonton we need your donations of:

• light couches

• love seats

• apartment sized kitchen tables

• tv stands 

• dressers

Find is having a donation drive from Tuesday August 17 (National Thrift Store Day)-Sunday August 22 at our Retail + Donation Centre located at 5120 122 Street. Donation hours are Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday from 9am-6pm, Thursday 9am-8pm and 10am-5pm on the weekend. 

All donations of light couches, love seats, apartment sized kitchen tables, tv stands and dressers that can be used for Housing First from Aug 17-22 will be eligible to be entered into a draw for a 2 night stay in a standard queen room at the Canalta Lodge in Banff (employees are exempt from this promotion, stay must be booked before Oct 31,2021, no black out dates, subject to availability.)! Winner will be drawn on August 23 and contacted directly.
