In an inspiring show of community spirit and generosity, we are thrilled to announce that through the support of community donations, 159 homes in Edmonton have now been furnished with essential furniture and home goods for over 270 people moving out of homelessness (114 kids & 165 adults). This accomplishment is a testament to the power of community and our collective commitment to building a more compassionate and inclusive city.

Every item donated has played a crucial role in turning these spaces into true HOMES. From cozy beds to tables where families can gather, each piece provides warmth, comfort, and stability for those beginning a new chapter in life. A furnished home is more than just a space; it's a foundation that fosters stability, belonging, and hope for the future.

How Community Support Transforms Lives

Each of the homes furnished with community donations serves as a lifeline for individuals and families who have faced the hardships of homelessness. Moving into a furnished home allows people to start fresh without the barriers of finding household essentials.

Stories from those we’ve had the privilege to work with illustrate the difference these homes make. For one family, receiving beds, kitchenware, and living room furniture meant their children had a safe, comfortable place to sleep and study. For another, the gift of a dining table became a symbol of connection, where they could share meals and rebuild family bonds.

A Heartfelt Thanks to Our Supporters

This work would not have been possible without the kindness of our Edmonton community. Each donation has added warmth and hope to each HOME. To everyone who contributed, thank you for extending compassion to our neighbors and demonstrating that Edmonton is a city that cares deeply for all its residents.

Looking Ahead

The journey doesn’t end here. As housing support initiatives continue to grow in Edmonton, so does the need for essential furnishings. Every home represents an opportunity to uplift more individuals and families as they move forward, rebuild, and thrive.

We invite all Edmontonians to join us in this effort over the month of November as we support Edmonton Housing Month with a month-long donation drive for housing supports in Edmonton.
