Find is delighted to share what we've been up to in April, which really underscores the importance of community involvement in Housing First.

Housing First aims to provide permanent, affordable housing as quickly as possible, accompanied by supportive services to help individuals and families experiencing homelessness. This comprehensive strategy depends on the collective efforts of government agencies, non-profit organizations, businesses, and compassionate individuals like YOU, who unite with a shared goal of ending homelessness in Edmonton!

When an entire community rallies together to support those in need, amazing things can happen. Our progress in April, furnishing 111 homes for 166 people transitioning out of homelessness, 51 of which are children, is a testament to the power of generosity and collaboration. Each contribution, whether it's donating items, shopping at the stores or telling a friend about us, plays an indispensable role in creating lasting change.

Through your unwavering support and generosity, we have been able to make a significant impact in the lives of those we serve. The 111 homes furnished in April have provided warmth and stability to individuals and families starting a new chapter!

We'd like to thank the tireless effort of the Housing First Workers across agencies who are continuing to support participants and finding new spaces for them to call home, as well as our amazing donors for supporting our participants create a warm, comfortable HOME.

We've noticed that furniture donations have slowed and the need continues to be about 50+ if each item per week!

We are always in need of couches, love seats, apartment sized kitchen tables, tv stands, dressers, kitchen chairs, living chairs and tables.
