Today we had the privileged of having The Honourable Amarjeet Sohi & MP Randy Boissonnault announce Reaching Home - Canada's Homeless Strategy. The Government of Canada has committed to reducing chronic homelessness by 50% over the next ten years.
Find helps to house 6-9 individuals and families per day with the donations that come in from Edmonton's community members. We are excited to continue this important work in order to reach our final goal of eradicating homelessness all together.
As Homeward Trust Edmonton CEO Susan McGee said at the release today: "It can't happen with one program or one organization. It takes a community to end homelessness."
Together, we can end and prevent homelessness!
