October brought change and excitement as we moved into a new season full of hope and new beginnings. 

The Find team took in tons and tons of donations and sorted, cleaned and got items ready for Housing First participants and our amazing community if supporters. We even made time for a little friendly team building competition with our pumpkin carving contest!  

All of the hard work that went into this month helped 177 people move out of homelessness and furnished 112 homes for Housing First participants. 58 children got to trick or treat from their new homes yesterday! Incredible!

We want to take the opportunity to shout out the amazing Housing First teams working tirelessly to find appropriate, affordable housing and supporting participants on their new journey.

As we move into November, we are excited to celebrate Housing Month, an annual event that aims to raise awareness of the various safe, affordable housing initiatives and sustainable strategies our city is, and has been, implementing towards our collective goal to end homelessness.

Let's continue to learn from our folks with lived experience and focus on housing as a human right as we move into the colder months. 

Find furnishes approximately 40 homes per week and we are always in need of couches, love seats, standing dressers, apartment sized kitchen tables and tv stands. Please consider Find for your furniture donations and help us spread the word. 

Together, we will end chronic homelessness!
