Happy fall, Finders!
While the weather starts to change and we prepare for the cold, we look back at the beautiful month of October and the incredible amount of team work that went into housing and furnishing homes for individuals and families moving out of homelessness through the Housing First program. From the amazing Housing Workers across the 17 local agencies, to our partners who help us achieve our daily goals, it really takes a community to end homelessness.
We are so happy to announce that in October we were able to furnish 162 units for 249 people with community donations; Our second busiest month of 2022 (First being May with 167 units)!!
It's so great that 79 kids got trick or treat from their new home, in their new neighborhood last night!
We want to thank all the amazing donors who gave items for the program and our loyal customers who have supported us over the past month. We can't do this work without all of you!
As we come into the winter months we ask that you keep Find in mind. We continue to furnish between 8-12 homes per day and need an incredible amount of furniture to support those moving out of homelessness and into a HOME through Housing First. If you have items to donate, please drop off at 5129 122 street any day of the week between 10am-6pm at the tent in the parking lot, or call for a furniture pickup by calling the team at 780 988 1717. Please note, we are booking into the first week of December for pickups. We will be closed on Friday, November 11.
Every donation makes it HOME.
