On Thursday June 5th, our community will gather for the 20th Annual Homeless Memorial — a solemn day to remember and honour the lives of those we’ve lost who experienced homelessness in Edmonton.
This annual memorial, hosted by ECOHH (Edmonton Coalition On Housing & Homelessness), is more than a tradition. It’s a powerful reminder of the real, human cost of homelessness. Each name read aloud represents a person who was loved, who mattered and whose life left a mark on our city.
At Find, our mission is rooted in the belief that everyone deserves the dignity of a safe, stable home. Every couch delivered, every bed provided, every kitchen table placed is part of a larger effort to prevent future losses. Because no one should be remembered by the streets they slept on — they should be remembered by the lives they lived.
We stand in solidarity with our community partners, housing workers, advocates and friends as we reflect, mourn, and recommit ourselves to building a city where housing is a human right.
The memorial is open to everyone. If you’re able, we invite you to attend, listen to the stories and help us hold space for those no longer with us.
