In April, community donations helped us furnish 157 homes for 214 people moving out of homelessness and into stable housing. Each delivery marked more than a move—it was a transition into a space that feels safe, comfortable, and truly their own.
By providing essential furniture and home goods, we help turn housing into a home—supporting comfort, dignity and long-term stability from day one.
This impact is made possible through strong partnerships with more than 20 housing and social service agencies across Edmonton. These organizations are doing critical work to support individuals on their housing journeys, and together, we ensure that when someone gets the keys to their new home, they’re not starting from zero. This coordinated approach is an important part of the broader effort to end homelessness in our city.
As a social enterprise of Homeward Trust Edmonton, FIND plays a unique role in that system. We remove a significant barrier to housing stability by providing furniture at no cost to participants, while also keeping quality items in circulation through our retail operations. It’s a model that connects community generosity directly to community impact.
And that connection is key because demand continues to grow.
Every month, we see the need for dressers, sofas, tables, and household essentials outpace what we have available. The reality is simple: more donations mean more homes furnished, and more people supported in maintaining their housing.
There are a few easy ways to be part of this work:
Donate
Gently used furniture and home goods can go directly to someone who needs them. With free furniture pickup available, donating is simple and accessible.
Shop
Every purchase made in store or through the FIND Online Boutique helps fund deliveries and supports the program.
Share
Telling others about FIND helps us reach more donors, more shoppers, and ultimately, more people who need support.
It all adds up. A single item can change a space. A home full of furniture can change a life.
Thank you for continuing to show up for your community. Together, we can end homelessness!
