September already! Gosh do those summer months fly by! Find has been busy bees working to support the Housing First program with furniture and we are excited to say that we were able to support 210 people as they moved out of homelessness and into their new HOME! 138 homes were furnished with YOUR donations, Edmonton! That means that 71 kids got to start school from their new HOME! We couldn't have done it without all of YOU Finders!
With Fall around the corner, we are ramping up to support as many people as they move out of homelessness and into a HOME as possible.
In order for us to provide Housing First participants with what they need to get started on their journey through housing, we need YOUR help, Edmonton!
If you have donations of couches, love seats, chairs, apartment sized kitchen tables, dressers (smaller, lighter ones), tv stands, pots and pans, kitchenware, etc to donate, now is a GREAT time!
We are open 10am-6pm and accept donations daily at the tent in the parking lot of 5120 122 street. If you need a pick up, we do offer free pick up services, but only on weekends and the waitlist can get a little long, so please be prepare ahead of time if you'd like us to pick up.
As a reminder, light wear is totally acceptable for furniture but anything in need of repair (major or minor) would be better donated elsewhere as we don't have the capacity at this time to fix items ourselves.
