We're excited to share a new partnership that makes it easier for Strathcona County residents to support their community.

FIND has partnered with Strathcona County's Broadview Enviroservice Station to accept furniture donations on behalf of FIND. This new drop-off location provides Sherwood Park and area residents with a convenient way to donate quality furniture and household items while helping create homes for people transitioning out of homelessness.

Making Donations More Accessible

At FIND, we know that donating furniture isn't always easy. Transportation, distance, and scheduling can create barriers for people who want to donate quality items.

By partnering with Broadview Enviroservice Station, we're making it easier for residents in Sherwood Park and surrounding communities to donate furniture locally so they can be part of the solution to ending homelessness.

Every donated item helps us furnish homes for individuals and families moving out of homelessness and into stable housing.

What We Accept

Broadview Enviroservice Station is accepting many of the furniture and household items that FIND uses to support our mission, including:

  • Sofas and chairs (no hide-a-beds, please)
  • Dining tables and chairs
  • Dressers and storage furniture
  • TV stands
  • Coffee and end tables
  • Desks and bookshelves

Donated items are carefully sorted and either sold through FIND's thrift store or used to help furnish homes for program participants.

Please note: all donations are subject to inspection and may not be suitable for FIND. In the event that an item cannot be accepted, the Broadview Enviroservice Station team will offer disposal for a fee.

Creating HOME and Reducing Waste

Furniture donations do more than support individuals transitioning into housing.

They also help keep quality items out of landfill, extend the life of usable furniture, and contribute to a more sustainable community.

Every donation creates a ripple effect of impact—supporting housing stability, environmental sustainability, and community wellbeing.

A Partnership That Strengthens Community

This partnership reflects what can happen when organizations work together to address community needs.

We're grateful to Strathcona County and the team at Broadview Enviroservice Station for helping make furniture donations more accessible and expanding the reach of FIND's mission beyond Edmonton.
