As the leaves changed and cooler weather rolled in, our community came together once again to create warmth where it’s needed most. October was a month of generosity, teamwork and transformation — and we’re excited to share the impact your support made possible.

Thanks to your donations and the hard work of our Find team, 174 essential furniture packages were delivered to homes in October — helping 271 people transition out of homelessness into safe, stable homes.

Each package included the basics that make a space feel like home:

- Beds for restful nights

- Tables and chairs for shared meals

- Sofas for connection and comfort

- Kitchen essentials for daily living

Every item that leaves our warehouse carries the care of our community. Whether it’s a gently used dresser donated by a family downsizing, or a sturdy table given by a local business, these pieces represent dignity, stability and a fresh start.

When someone opens the door to their new home and sees it furnished — even modestly — they’re not just seeing furniture. They’re seeing hope, belonging and the belief that their community is behind them.

As we celebrate Housing Month in November, we’re reminded that ending homelessness takes all of us. It’s a time to learn, connect and take action together to ensure everyone in our city has a place to call home.

- Give back: Donate your gently used furniture or home goods to Find — your items help furnish homes for people moving out of homelessness.

- Spot our trucks: Take part in our #FINDtheTruck campaign! Snap a photo of a Find truck out in the community, tag @FindYEG & #YEGHousingMonth, and you could win a local prize.

-Spread the word: Share our mission and help more people discover how their donations make a direct impact.
