Imagine waking up on a cold winter morning with no place to call home. This is the harsh reality for thousands of individuals and families experiencing homelessness. However, thanks to the incredible support of our community and the tireless efforts of the Housing First agencies, we, as a community, were able to support 203 people (129 adults and 74 kids) transition from homelessness into a HOME in December!

Furnishing Homes for a Fresh Start

In December, Find furnished 126 homes for individuals and families moving out of homelessness through Housing First. From beds and sofas to kitchenware and dining sets, we ensured that each home was equipped with the necessary items for a fresh start.

By furnishing these homes with donations from the community, Find helps creates a warm and welcoming environment that promotes stability and a sense of belonging. It allows individuals and families to focus on rebuilding their lives, rather than worrying about where they will sleep or how they will furnish their new home.

The impact of furnished homes is immeasurable. For those transitioning out of homelessness, having a safe and furnished home can be life-changing. It provides stability, security, and a foundation for individuals and families to rebuild their lives.

Having a furnished home also has a positive effect on mental and emotional well-being. It gives individuals and families a sense of pride and ownership, boosting their self-esteem and confidence. It allows them to envision a brighter future and take the necessary steps to achieve their goals.

Find relies on the support of generous individuals and organizations to continue our work. There are several ways you can make a difference:

2. Shop: Support our Find Donation + Retail Centre or our Online Boutique where proceeds benefit those moving out of homelessness create a HOME with items that can't otherwise be donated.
