Meet Jordon, the newest member of the Find Team. Jordon is the Store Manager at Find Retail + Donation Center. We wanted to get to know him a little bit better, so we asked him a few questions. Check out his answers below.

What’s your new role at find?

Store Manager; Find Retail + Donation Centre

What drove you to work at find?

I was driven to find a place that combined my experience in business and management with my time spent working with marginalized communities in the downtown core. Working alongside Homeward trust teams in past roles allowed me to see all the great work they were doing.

Why is ending homelessness important to you?

After spending almost three years volunteering and working within shelters in Edmonton, I saw how difficult it was for people to break free from the cycle of homelessness. The longer someone lived within this cycle, the more damaging it was to a person’s physical and mental health resulting in it being harder for them to get out of it. I firmly believe that the only way we can end this damaging sequence of events is to provide housing with dignity, respect, and care.

What are you most excited about in your new role?

I am excited to see Find develop and bring people of all walks of life together to reach a common goal of ending homelessness. Find is amazing because every role a person plays from employee, to donator, to customer all works together to effectively improve lives and spur positive change in our communities.

Why is this your favorite item in the store today?

The multiple copies of The Nutty Professor because it was my favorite childhood movie.
