Can you believe that January is over already?! Although some might say it was a long month, we here at Find are shocked that we made it through the ups and downs with some exciting numbers to share with you.

January brought us snow, cold and a week where we couldn't even open our doors, but we were able to persevere and are happy to announce that with your amazing donations, we were able to furnish 107 homes and help 152 people (117 adults and 35 kids) transition out of homelessness and into their new space.

This month taught us a lot about the work that we do and just how important it is to over come obstacles as a team and provide the highest level of support we can to our most vulnerable friends.

No one wants to be sleeping outside in the winter (save those few brave folks who love winter camping and are prepared for it - but that's another story), let alone in the freezing temperatures we saw this month.

We'd like to take an opportunity to shout out the amazing teams that came together over the deep freeze to help our clients stay safe and warm, and offered food, clothing and space to make sure everyone was taken care of. We have an amazing community here in Edmonton and we are lucky enough to see the impact that has on the people who need it most every day.

Thank you, Edmonton, for taking the homelessness crisis seriously, for understanding the need for affordable housing and for advocating and supporting the work that we are all doing to give people access to their basic human rights.

We are humbled by your support and we are honored to share this space with you.

We have already hit the ground running in February and are excited to get your donations into new homes.

As winter months are notoriously slower for donations, please continue to remind friends and family (strangers at Costco? haha) about Find and the need for furniture donations to help our community members move out of homelessness.
