August brought it's fair share of struggles and successes at Find. We want to start this update with a massive thank you to our community for supporting us while we navigated (and continue to navigate) this heatwave. We appreciate your understanding as we had to modify our hours for the health and safety of our team, but it was not lost on us that this weather is incredibly difficult to live in when you don't have a home. 

Despite the fact that the warm temperatures impacted our team and operations greatly, our priority remained with Housing First and making sure that our participants were getting what they needed to start their new journey in a comfortable, safe space.

We would like to shout out our driving team for continuing to make deliveries and support our Housing First participants each day! Because of this awesome team, 99 homes were furnished with community donations in August, helping to support 142 people move out of homeless, 35 of which are kids who get to start school from their new HOMES! Talk about success!

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank our Find community for their donations and support with our donation drive on the 20th. We were able to fill 2.5 trucks full of furniture and home goods and our friends at Bissell Centre were able to fill a full truck!
